What we collect, and why

When you send us a message or ask for a quote through the form on this website, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, your message, which of our services you are interested in, your current website if you tell us, and how you would like us to reach you.

We use this only to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. The message is stored on this website and emailed to us so that we can answer it. We keep it until we delete it, and we do not use it for anything else or sell it to anyone.

Who looks after the website for us

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this information on our behalf and deliver the website's emails. They do not use it for anything of their own.

Cookies

The website sets a session cookie and a security cookie, which every visitor needs for pages and forms to work safely. The website's own count of visitors does not use cookies.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing of theirs is set unless you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, so we do not ask on every page.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email us at info@tarkawebdesign.com and we will reply as soon as we can.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page.
